百立（杭州）电子系统有限公司 位于有“中国硅谷”之称的杭州，创建于 2004 年 3 月，是一家由留美学生和访问学者投资的外资全资子公司。其母公司 Baleen Systems Inc. 于 2002 年成立于美国硅谷（ Silicon Valley ）。公司主要从事数码存储产品的核心控制芯片和系统产品的研发与设计。

公司创始人楚传仁先生、骆建军先生选择杭州作为公司在中国的创业基地，是看中了杭州的人杰地灵。若把上海比旧金山，杭州则有着可比美国硅谷的地理人文优势。设点杭州，有效地把位于美国硅谷的总部和中国杭州基地结合起来，引进硅谷核心技术，采用高科技管理机制，把硅谷的创业梦想拓展到中国，为振兴中国高科技做岀贡献。

Established in 2004, Baleen(Hangzhou) systems, Inc. is an IC design company that designs and develops highly integrated memory controllers, storage systems and software support solutions for the personal computer peripheral and consumer electronics markets. The company headquarter is in Cupertino, CA, and sales center in Taipei, Taiwan. Baleen (Hangzhou) Systems not only cooperates with US engineers, develops and designs production tools, but also provides technical supports for customers. The sales center in Taiwan, also called Teraspan Technologies, Corp. and located at Nangan Software Park, manages marketing and supports customers worldwide.

Baleen Systems has selected a remarkable and experienced team of engineers, testing personnel, and supervisors to lead the development of innovative and high-speed mass-storage SoC controllers and system applications. The company is distinguished by its ability to provide innovative solutions for spec-driven products. Since 2002, Baleen, the technology leader in memory controller ICs, has announced various SD/MMC card controllers. In addition, it has successfully developed the first USB2.0 and SD/MMC combo card controller in the world in 2005.
