浙江维尔科技有限公司成立于1999年10月，由IT行业国内知名上市公司杭州恒生电子股份有限公司与杭州维尔通信技术有限公司投资成立，座落在美丽的西子湖畔，暨杭州国家高新技术产业开发区，注册资金1800万元人民币。公司被认定为：国家科技部火炬计划项目实施单位、国家级重点新产品研发单位、国家创新基金项目实施单位、浙江省高新技术企业、浙江省软件企业等。
维尔科技以人为本，拥有一支充满朝气、团结奋进、高素质的员工队伍，现有员工120余人，其中博士、硕士研究生10余人，管理、研发、营销人员90%具有大学本科以上学历。

Zhejiang Wellcom Science and Technology Co., LTD, was co-founded in Oct. 1999 with registered capital of RMB 18 million by Hangzhou Handsome Electronics Co. Ltd, a well-known Chinese IT corporation whose stock is exchanged in the market, and by Hangzhou Wellcom Science and Technology Co., LTD. Wellcom Science & Technology is situated in Hangzhou Hi-Tech Industry Zone, which is very close to the beautiful west lake. Wellcom is acknowledged as a participating organization of Torch Plan administered by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, research and development agency of crucial new national product, execution organization for national creative fund projects, Hi-Tech corporation of Zhejiang Province, and software company of Zhejiang province。

II. Products
Wellcom Science & Technology has developed world leading finger print recognition algorithm. With this cutting-edge algorithm，Wellcom alone has developed the first GFP series products in China. The main products of GFP series products are: finger print based IC card time-counting management system for driver-training, finger print based driving recorder for automobile, and personal identification verification system for commercial bank. Currently, those products are widely used in transportation and banking industries. As Wellcom has full intellectual property of finger print recognition algorithm, Wellcom has come to be a system provider, manufacturer and service provider for those products.
Among all existing personal identification technologies, biometric person authentication is the best for its safety and simplicity. Among all biometric person authentication methods, finger print recognition of living structure is the most typical one.
