中控集团的业务涉及流程工业自动化、装备自动化、公用工程信息化三大领域，流程工业自动化是SUPCON的核心业务。基于完整的产品体系及对过程行业的深刻理解，SUPCON提出了过程行业综合自动化整体解决方案的概念——InPlant（Intelligent-Plant）。InPlant其目的是为流程工业提供综合自动化整体解决方案。通过实施InPlant解决方案，促进企业信息化的集成，全面提升企业产品质量、产量和综合竞争力。
InPlant兼容了SUPCON在过程工业领域的多种产品，包括：集散控制系统、智能仪表、ESP-iSYS实时数据库与过程监控平台及先进控制与优化软件。这三类产品技术均处于国际先进地位，分获国家科技进步二等奖和浙江省科学技术二等奖，产品市场占有率处于国内同行的领先进位，集散控制系统市场占有率达到28%，智能仪表达到60%。
